Man speaks volumes of immersion right there, Ambulation guys. Dont let this one slip through!
though leave the cat-ears out, cept for Kayosoni, he'd probably bust a gasket if you put em in, either way...

Anyway, keep the ideas coming
If the price of visible implants is that none of them look like kitty ears I pay gladly.
But seriously, some implants should look goofy. Remember the Penny Arcade strip with the ruby earrings of +5 to something manly? ----- I'll be in my pod |

Originally by: Skarvl Mandoo How long will it take to get to your ship? If you have to run the length of the station, because you were off chatting it up, you would be better served staying put.
CCP have said they will be including travelator-equivalent units. Should make getting to and from places quicker. ----- I'll be in my pod |

Originally by: Johli Now I'm wondering, how would logging off/logging in work? You warp out/warp in while in space, but in a station... do you just suddenly disappear (that would make man handling useless, they would disappear before your eyes... exploitz!) or do you just walk into "logoff rooms" where your character would stay until you log back in?
I'm not sure about logging out, but in City of Villains when you log back in you walk out of the nearest door. ----- I'll be in my pod |

Originally by: Arana Tellen I still say no self respecting pod pilot would wear more than a single symbol of their alliance, not a uniform. You are not a meer grunt in some army (even officer) but a pod pilot, the elite of the elite of the best with unimaginable buying power compared to regular folk. Wearing a uniform and bowing/scraping before another?
Well how else do you want bystanders to be able to point at you and whisper "Oh, my! He's a pod pilot!"? I don't think that "I'm a pod pilot" t-shirts will really have the same effect. ----- I'll be in my pod |

a sword? did you even remember that you are on the eve forums and not some other fantasy game with swords and bows?
Actually, allowing bladed weapons while prohibiting energy-emitting or projectile weapons makes a lot of sense on a space station. Between hard vacuum outside and sensitive equipment inside, keeping the damage one person can inflict limited to the range of their arms is pretty sensible.
Also, swords have been ceremonial weapons for uniforms forever, even though nobody's used them in large-scale warfare for centuries.
Centuries? Not quite that long. Cavalries as recent as WWI still wore and used swords.
I believe that the Polish army also used horse cavalry in combat in 1939.
I don't know if any of them got close enough to the German Panzers to actually use swords, however.
According to a Pole I knew years back there were a few famous stories of tanks being ambushed by people with (unspecified melee weapons, maybe swords) who got close enough to open the hatch and attack the people inside.
I figured they meant in towns, drop down from a window onto the top of it rather than charge at it. Dunno. ----- I'll be in my pod |
